About Brooklyn Sports Camp
The camp offers an array of fun activities for children ages 4-16. Our skilled staff teach all aspects of a sport from the novice player to the seasoned athlete. The camp hours are from 9am to 3pm daily we also have extended day from 7:30am to 6pm.
We offer a variety of fun activities. These include bowling, billiards, and movies. Registration is fast and easy with our Online Forms.
Acting and Singing Classes, Theatre Education and Miming. Performances every two weeks in our beautiful 500 seat auditorium Tutoring available for all ages and subjects.
Our camp features an NBA size basketball court. The gym is also used for soccer, kickball, running bases etc. Our outdoor facility (schoolyard) is used for other sports and activities. We also use certain off-site facilities and local parks, including Xaverian baseball field, Owls Head park, Shore Road park etc. Our cafeteria, located in the basement of the school, is spacious and air conditioned.
Every Friday is “Free Pizza Lunch” followed by an award ceremony where every camper receives a trophy, medal or certificate, for his or her achievement during camp.
Steve Carberry, A Graduate of Marist College was captain and played 1st singles for three years. The team went to the divisional championships 2 out of those three years.
After College he attended the Vander Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head Island where he received a P-1 Certification in 1978 for tennis coaching. This gave him the insight to teach large groups of both juniors and adults. He began his teaching at the YMCA on 9th street and 5th Ave in 1978. He taught large groups of adults and juniors in the fundamentals and techniques of tennis. From there he moved on to the Prospect park tennis center where he developed a program starting with 10 children that grew to more than 400. During these years he developed nationally ranked players who went on to division 1 colleges and the tennis circuit. In 2006 Steve built his own tennis facility @ Regina Pacis on 66th street between 12th and 13th Ave in Brooklyn, N.Y. starting with 15 children and grew to over 150. Student came from St Saviors HS, Fontbonne HS, Bishop Kearney, Bay Ridge Prep, St Ephrem and many other schools in the area. Steve is now developing new tennis courts at Most Precious Blood on Haraway and bay 47th Street Brooklyn, N.Y. – OLA – St Ephrem and First Evangelical Christian Church. At Present we ar @ McKinley Park for the Fall season and will be working with both juniors and adults. Starting November 1st we will be using our indoor facilities @ the 4 Locations.

Adam Berman – Brooklyn Sports Camp Director
Adam is one of our new camp directors, who brings lots of experience in working with kids and loads of energy to the job! For the past 6 years, Adam has been a gym teacher of high school students. He also coaches multiple sports, including Varsity Baseball, Basketball and Bowling to kids of various ages.
Prior to becoming a gym instructor, Adam was a personal trainer and fitness director with New York Sports Club. He has more than 6 years management experience and in training staff members how to reach maximum potential and performance with their clients. Adam’s clients were athletes involved in all types of sports, and he primarily worked with rehabilitation.
Adam is a Certified Personal Trainer and Olympic Weightlifting Coach, as well as a Licensed Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is currently enrolled in the Masters in Cardiology and Rehabilitation program at Brooklyn College.
Trisha Arnold – Theatre Camp Director
Trisha Arnold is thrilled to be back for a ninth year as Director of the Bay Ridge Theatre Camp! She has a Bachelor of Arts in both Theatre and Childhood Education, and her Masters in Early Childhood Education. Trisha is a licensed New York City public school teacher for both general and special education, and she spends her year teaching elementary school here in Brooklyn. She works on directing projects both in Brooklyn and Manhattan for children and adults in her free time. Summer camp is the highlight of her year. She has made many memories with the amazing campers who return year after year and is always excited to meet new talent! This year is looking to be the best yet!
